Batteries are interchangeable with all 18v Dewalt tools, and there are lots of them.
The best price deal is to buy it in a kit, best bang for the buck.
And you don't have to buy into the lithium ion hype(overpriced cr@p)

I love my 18v DeWalt.
I also still have an old 9.6v Makita-- the one with the "stick" battery up the handle. Still works great after 25 years. Thought I'd never have a cordless I liked better than that old Makita, but the DeWalt converted me.
