need help opinions on 58 fleetside shorty,please
i found 1, he is asking 3500, it has been moved onto an s10 frame and has a 4cylinder ,
can that be done moved to a s10 frame ?the truck has it usual cab corners rust and front fender rust, i am a newbie to these trucks ,but i have always liked them ,if anyone have pics with something like this done it would be nice to see. all opinions are appreciated ,from what its worth ,to the conversion, thanks

The s-10 swap is good for a pre-55 AD truck. but it's to narrow for a 55-59 TF truck. 4 cyl., s-10 frame, still needs all the rust repair. I think this is one to pass on. If we had pix it would help us know for sure. but I'm 99.9% sure that I would.

i have been trying to find out info online on bigger bodies on s-10 frames ,but really no luck ,anyone have any info? all help appreciated thx

Friend has one (57) on a 77 full size. I think the s-10 is not the way to go for a 58.

I have to agree with the others, I would pass on it. Thats a lot of money for a truck that you still have to fix rust. You'll have to change the motor if you want to drive on the hiway. S10's don't work well under 55-57 and not at all under 58-59 the front is to wide for that chassis. yes pictures would help

Just from the looks of the rust on the left fender and door, Im sure theres alot more where that came from...
I also havent herd any good things about s10 frames under task force trucks, let alone a 4 cylinder. What work of his were you impressed with? |
