I'm looking to pick up a totaled M1008 K-30 and am wondering what the going rate for the axles are...
anything else worth value on the truck? TH400? NP208? hydroboost? rest will be scrapped... thanks...

I'd say $100 for the hydroboost, and at least that much for the 400/208.

Re: WIW - Dana60/14Bolt/TH400 from CUCV
The way the economy is right now, I am only buying things (very few)if it is worth something TO ME. A couple of years ago, you could easily get $1200-$1500 for a 14 bolt FF rear and a Dana 60 front. Now it is kinda iffy. I don't buy anything thinking I am going to turn it the next day for double the money. Be prepared to sit on anything you buy for a while... I was out of work from a lay off from June- right before Christmas, and then had to take a lower paying job. I found out I am going to be a dad (first time) last week! My wife and I talked about "waiting til we could afford it". We are both 37 y.o, so we thought that that would never happen (affording it). We have some $$$ saved, she has a decent job, mortgage is only $600, we have a rental property for extra $$$ and only one car payment, so we decided we better get busy! BTW, you guys need topony up and buy some of the stuff I have for sale!!!

Re: WIW - Dana60/14Bolt/TH400 from CUCV
I'll trade you some baby stuff for truck stuff... I have a ton to get rid of... my youngest is now 3 so it's all guns and helicopters for him! Congrats though...
And I have been told that you can never afford them! (kids that is)... $600 house payment? wow, my taxes are $350 a month alone... But as far as flipping parts, I agree. This truck was a good $400-$500 buy but not $700+ fees. An holding onto 1,000lbs of axles isn't easy either!

Re: WIW - Dana60/14Bolt/TH400 from CUCV
i agree on buying something just to try making a buck, the flipping economy is in the crapper. i let a 78 shortbed fleetside, 2wd go at an auction for 60 bucks last week.i was going to bid on it for parts for my 77 blazer but got to thinking about it and walked off. this truck was in excellent condition except for the left front fender. it was 100% rustfree and in original paint still. i talked with the guy that bought it and i might be able to get the sheetmetal i want after he pulls the motor. i don't have anywhere to strip it anymore and no place to store it if i had bought it so i'll try getting the parts i want and he can haul the leftovers to the scrap yard.

Re: WIW - Dana60/14Bolt/TH400 from CUCV
When the price for a parts truck is REALLY cheap, its worth it, no matter what. (At least that's what I keep telling myself) Got two CUCV M1008s at a state live auction this past week, trucks were NOT at the auction. Got the first one for $25.00 (plus 150.00 auction fee, etc total of about $250.00) and the second one, a complete running "flintstone floorboard" truck, for $100.00 (plus 150.00 auction fees, taxes, etc. for a total of about $350.00). Two minor drawbacks, the first one was at a state prison for recovery (hour long round trip) and the second was at a state mental hospital (10 hour round trip) Already sold the first one for more than the cost of the trailer rental, fuel and cost of the two trucks combined. Keeping the second one to fix a third one. The fun never ends.
