tail light question
Guys, last week I was surfing the net and have seen a lot of photos of trucks with a nice tail light setup. Unfortunately, do not seem to be able to find them now. The setup was round red stop lights with yellow rims (working as turn signals, I guess) with smaller round white lights below them mounted separately. I really like the way they look on the truck. The seem to be LED, but without the "high-tec" look. Any idea who produces them or where I can order those for my '69 shortstep? Thanks in advance!
Tim

Re: tail light question
Drives me mad. I have seen it a couple of days ago on a truck on ebay too. Look really nice. The stop/turn lights are a 67-72 replica only with the yellow rim.

found the picture!
Here they are. Look familiar, anyone??? The yellow rims might be a reflection though. If it is, they are regular classic replicas...

Re: tail light question
This is no joke; I saw what you are talking about on our local city buses!! The diameter is probably too large for this application, but it is what you are talking about... Yellow outer ring for turn signals with brake/running lights in the middle.

Re: tail light question
no joke indeed if i find the right size it would look great on an orange truck.
so far I have only found these, but those are not quite the thing. I would prefer red lenses. http://www.webbikeworld.com/lights/billet-turn-signal/ these look like the ones I have now and look too high-tech to me.

Re: tail light question
Here they are again (the round ones, not the vertical LEDs)!!! This pics have been borrowed from Thelonerife's build thread. What the hell are those??? Somebody drop me a hint! Please!
By the way, I am visiting Russia right now and they have a load of retro looking lights for their trucks that obviously haven't changed from the 50ies. I will definitely bring some over.

Re: tail light question
I agree. DOT requires reflectors on the back of vehicles. Those rings are just the flash reflecting off of a stock style tail light reflector.

Re: tail light question
Mmmmmm. This is what I was afraid of. OK. I will check if I can find something like that across the pond in Europe. Regulations there require yellow turn signals, might be a possibility. It is just that I see it in my head and it does look nice. Will post an update if I find something.
