four way lights

All - i have a 1970's steering colum in my 1962 chevy c10 truck. the four way flasher is on the stalk/column. i want to move the the flaher from the column to the dash. i'm going use 1997 malibu button.

how do i go about relocating the wires on the column to the dash?
what color is the flasher wires?

Any ideas will surely be appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

Re: four way lights

Make your life easier, get a flare stat flasher unit. You can find them on Ebay. Price changes for Original Knobs. You can get the model that is a simple plug and play with the original harness or the universal type that you would have to join the wires together. I have the wiring diagram if you need it. You can find them mounted in the dash or mounted to a small chrome bracket bolted under the dash in scrap cars and trucks of the era.

I don't think the flarestat unit would work since he already has a '70's column installed that already has the 4 way switch on the column.
