does anyone know how much a short wheel base bed weighs?
Or how many big fellas its going to take to get it off?

I took mine off by myself...but I wasn't worried about scratching it either.....I just slid it off the back, lowered to the ground and then stood it up on the tailgate end.....

Later, I had one buddy help me load it on the trailer....Then it took four guys to place it back on the frame after everything was painted..

I also see quite a few guys use an engine hoist to pull them off using some straps on all four corners...

When it was empty me and two others lifted mine and sat it on a stand next to it.

I'm 5'-7" and 150 lbs and my friend is 6'-2" about 195 lbs and we took a LWB box out of an enclosed trailor and placed it on my truck. I would say it weighs about 600 lbs and a SWB would be less?? I would say get yourself and 3 others just to be safe though. We Canadians eat alot of bacon. lol

I use an engine hoist and some straps in the stake pockets on good beds.

Junk beds and cabs, I just lift up the one side, and flop them off the frame.

Day Laborers is right, they are all over everywhere. Have them lift it, pay them $20 each and you are done.
