ls1 fuel pump problems, suggestions
my friend is running a 1999 model ls1 in his 68 he is still running the factory tank with a inline fuel pump , he cant seem to get it regulated right , any suggestions certain pump to run or could it be the plumbing, anyone else running the factory tank.. i am sure a tank with the built in fuel tank would be the best bet but he has little extra money .. just trying to do it on the cheap. thanks mike

Re: ls1 fuel pump problems, suggestions
the regulation is done at the fuel rails on that year. I acutally run around 52 psi on my puel pressure at idle. You will need a return line and should check the pressure let us know what you mean that it wont regulate what are his pressures.

I'm not familiar with the ls1 but I bought a book on TPI installations and the guy that wrote it recommends a 78-81 Nissan/Datsun 280ZX external pump. Advance Auto Parts online # is E8312. When I looked it was $107.98. He says you can put a "T" fitting in the intake side of the pump and just run the return line to it. LockDoc
