width of a truck

hey i am going to pick up a 72 chevy C20 and i need to know how wide these trucks are??? i am going to use a tow dolly to tow it.. can someone help me out??

I'd also like to know this. I am pretty sure that any of these trucks can be hauled on a standard U-Haul Dolly. That's what I'ma have to rent next weekend. I'd say they'd fit on all dolly's, but these trucks are heavy, so dont get one of those that'd only be good for a Civic or Maxima or something. Later.

Tow dolly needs to be the wide type. The wheel/tire out side measurement is about 72 inches. Pulled one up from KY on a center pivot dolly no problem.

Try and get a 74" or 76" one if you can. It will fit VERY tight on a 72" and it's kind of hard to line up straight and get on there.

If you are pulling a 4x4 or have wider than std tires, I wouldn't go any smaller than a 76".

Almost forgot. Don't tell rental company you are towing a truck. They might not rent you a dolly. U-Haul won't.
