getting rid of wires ?
just getting rid of some wires underhood like all the gauge wires,running mech. so don,t need them.Should I trace them to the junction block and cut flush and maybe put some tar or silicone overthem so no short etc.What are you doing

I took the wires on my 84 and completely pulled them from places such as the computer opening in the firewall. I them plugged the firewall with a different plug to smoth that out. The other wires were removed to the block and verified dead or clipped form the power source for no shorts. I also made my wire harnesses longer to run inside the frame rails, one on each side of the engine, and come up at the front corners of the engine to make sure that there was very little laying on top of the engine. All were retaped and put into wire loom to cover and close it up.
