Hey All,

We're going on a 3hr drive in about a week to pick up a '65 and want to make sure it'll fit on the trailer before we head out. I know the particulars will vary depending on how you've set-up your tire/wheel combo, but can somebody tell me their outside-to-outside wheel dimension?

I wish I could help you with the truck width but mine is still apart . I can tell you that my trailer is 18ft. long and 6'6" wide. The '65 fits on it fine. Remembering back it was a tight fit.

Most trailers are between 80"-84" between the fenders.

I just measured my truck and the rear width is 75". That is with a 275/60r15 on a 15x8 wheel. The front was about an inch narrower with a 235/70r15 tire. I know it is not the factory tire size but maybe it helps.

The trailer is 76" wide so it should be no problem

Just wanted to drop back in for an update. Your information was spot-on as we had about 1" total clearance. It was a nice fit and loaded on the trailer perfectly.

We got it home and even though it sat for a few years, we were able to get 'er running in short order.
