what should i pay for a 62 gmc suburban

i saw an ad on cl for a 62 burb with a 305 and a hydramatic with tailgate instead of barn doors he said 500 on the ad and now he want me to bid on it on ebay i looked at the truck and its got dents and rust and bondo spota all over it but is mostly all there with the exceptiton of the rear seats what should i offer they guy

if he has adv it for 500. then he should sell it for 500. if you feel that it is worth that to you.
nobody can tell you what it is worth without looking at it

Impossible to answer without pictures to see the condition.......................................If he's asking $500 then it must not be in good shape...............................still it might be worth a lot more than he is asking......................suburbans are pretty rare so use your judgment and offer him what you think is fair and leave the ball in his court........Hemmit

yea martin thats the 1 and i knw that burbs are rare specially with tailgates ive never had one so i thought id offer on it but idk it does seem kinda shady

The part that really stands out about the ad is something about the title saying it's a station wagon. I don't work for DMV so I don't know how it should be coded, but back in those days there was still a big difference between a 'burb and a station wagon. There weren't any "cross overs". I use to own a '71 Bronco and it was a "utility", that's still not a 'burb, though alot closer than a station wagon.

ya thats what i thought but i offerd the dude 500 and i told him not a penny more theres too many things out of place about it
