Has anyone used the slip-on cab mount replacements? if anyone has what was there advantages or disadvantages?

I think they are meant mearly as a cosmetic thing. I would definitly recomend cutting out all of the rust and installing the factory style mounts. If yours aren't very bad you could just cut out and replace the very ends of the mounts. Replacing the whole thing would be best as you wouldn't have a weld seam in the middle.

thanks for your input. they are really rusty, almost rotted out so i think that i will go with the stock replacement version

Just replaced all of mine last month in my ongoing rebuild. Cut the old ones out and welded in new ones. Made a big difference in structural integrity I think. Also did the inner rockers and rewelded patches at the floor edges. Cab is a lot more solid now.
