Short Bed Hard Cover San Diego C/L

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/pts/1340430575.html

Looks like a good deal for someone who needs it. Not mine.

Someone here is always looking for one of those. And could be a bargain at $300 picked up.

Re: Short Bed Hard Cover San Diego C/L

Just a comment: hard covers for truck beds are a mixed bag. I have on on my '96. It locks, but the locking system is primative, like an old camper top. Twist the handle and it throws two rods out to the side and is there just to deter a would-be thief. If they want in it badly enough, they'll get in it. When you want to haul something, it's in the way. If it is too tall, it won't close. Gaskets go bad over time. If you take it off, you have to store it and it will take two people to handle it. But, they look good.

I like the idea of a soft cover because it offers options. So does leaving the bed open, but we each have our own idea of what we like/want.
