69 GMC grille swap
I own a 69 GMC stepside/shortbed and I am slowly taking it apart. I pulled the grille and inner fender wells to find a lot more cancer than I thought was going to be there. My question is what all do I need to change out to put the 68 chevy grille in? From looking at it the radiator support is probably the most important part due to the 4 headlight to 2 headlight swap. If anyone has done this before or have seen it done I would like some more info. Thanks Gunnery Sergeant Robert M. Robbins, USMC |

Re: 69 GMC grille swap
you'll need a grill, core support, hood, hood latch assembly... and badges to make it look right.
The last one is optional. |

Re: 69 GMC grille swap
I didn't think I needed to change out the hood, and I am taking all badging off the vehicle (just for that "sleeker" look). Thanks for the input Longhorn Man

Re: 69 GMC grille swap
The hood on the 67/68's will work but the 69-72 was the same hood as the Chevy's. I'm up in Pace/Milton if you have any questions or if you want to check out some Chevy stuff. I've got 1 67, 2 68's and 1 69/72, .
