Any suggestions on what NOT to buy?

[B]Looking to install chrome and/or billet brake booster and master cylinder. They are pricey, but look cool. Anyone have horror stories or do and don'ts for one. Thanks for the help. Any tricks to know for install would be appreciated as well. Gary

Re: Any suggestions on what NOT to buy?

Chromed steel may rust if not of a high quality. Also, I am not fond of chrome anymore. It weakens the metal and loses its luster after several years. Also, the brake booster and master cylnder are ugly in my opinion and I would rather hide them under the cab or the dash. I prefer a smooth firewall. However, I would never chrome it or try to make it stick out even more. I would paint it black or body color or leave it stock colored (i.e., cast iron, zinc plated, dichromate, etc.).

um, get an extra hand as your going to have to bleed the brakes, and make sure you booster rod length is the same.

Off topic yes, but how does chrome weaken the parent metal?
