Re: Interesting Sales Pitch

He probably is the person behind the idea of cash for clunkers! He was just using this scheme to get more money out of his clunker!

Re: Interesting Sales Pitch

I'd say he's an idiot. Classic Chevy's are not clunkers.

He isn't trying to sell it as a clunker to trade in, he is saying the clunker program took the clunkers away.

This is the same conclusion I came up with as well.

Due to Clunkers for Junkers trade in there are less used vehicles for sale. This causes the price of used vehicles to increase.
He's implying his truck is worth more because there are less used vehicles. However, not a single 67-72 chevy truck was traded in under the program, so why should it be worth more? Because there's less 84-present trucks running around?

Hey, I am not saying his logic works, but that's what he is shooting for. Since there are less crappy 84 - present pickups running around, apparently his is worth more. Who knows, there could be a temporary increase. I have a friend that traded in his 86 Ford pickup on a new Impala. Now he needs to buy a new beater truck. I can see his point, just not sure it's very valid.
