Glove box help
Is there a trick to removing and installing the glove box interior on an AC truck?
I had to remove mine to work on my diverter box (thanks for the help) and about ruined mine taking it out, there has to be a trick. Thanks Mark |

Re: Glove box help
No trick. Just some effort.
Mine doesn't have a/c but I still had to manuever, bow, and force the sucker in the front. Seems like I read someone say that they installed from the backside... but not sure. |

Re: Glove box help
About six (or so) screws hold it in. Then, put your tongue in between your jaw teeth and start "finessing" the cardboard part. If you expect to be able to successfully remove an original glove box insert, perish the idea. If you are then able to remove it w/o destroying it.....you're a good finagler and should have no trouble dealing with my ex-wife.

Re: Glove box help
I've pulled mine out and put it back in. I jammed it in from the front.

Re: Glove box help
I have no experience with installing a glovebox with air, but I slid my new non-air one from underneath the dash and up from behind. Wasn't too hard.

Re: Glove box help
You just have to cram it in but put some masking tape around the opening in the dash so you don't scratch the paint. Getting it out is alot harder. If you've still got it out, I would order a new one to install. They are pretty cheap.

Re: Glove box help
Its back in. I put some duct tape around the glove box to add strength where it was looking weak. It looks perfect installed but I will be buying a new one eventually.
