What a score!!

ok so i thought i would share my good news/luck.

as i cruised craigslist i came across a set of plates and cups for air bags along with a gauge pod with switches.
guy was asking 50 bones, so i call him and ask if he still has them. he does. so i tell him i am waiting on someone to buy a trans from me then i will be over.

so guy bails on the trans, lame... BUT the guy i had called calls me back and just out of the blue says he was just going to give them to me!!!!!!!!!

i was floored...wow i cant win a carnival game and i just got handed these parts....to add icing to the cake he calls me back and says he found a set of belltech drop shocks for the truck that he would throw in...

i started thinkin, is this a hoax????
so i commondere my sister and her prius seeming i have a 60+ mile road trip ahead of me. (ya i know....prius) i show up and sure enough he gives it all to me...no charge...oh ya, its all never been used!!
so being in the pawn industry i looked everything up, came up to roughly 260!!!

i feel giddy like a schoolgirl

i snapped a few shots

hope you enjoyed!

Re: What a score!!

Car and truck guys can be some of the nicest most generous people. I have been given many cool parts from sellers for free. Often when you buy one or two parts, they throw in other parts they don't need but figure you can use. Great score.

Ft. Stockton saved my a$$ one time. I was driving my '72 C-20 from California to Florida and my alternator went out in the middle of the night. Luckily I was only about a mile away from Ft. Stockton and was able to get a new alternator and voltage regulator in the morning.
