I bought this a couple of years ago and have been getting things done and doing some myself. When I first got it I asked a bunch of questions and with the help of some of the members I have soldered a new filler onto a repop tank. Cam and lifters, soft top, Tach dash, underhood wiring. The body and paint work was done by someone else. Although not a show truck I think it has turned out OK!

I have some underdash wiring to clean up or replace. Transmission to transfercase adapter reseal, rebuild the rear end and eventually get the AC working.

Nice. Is that Line-X on the tub inside? How much did that run? I need to start the frame-off on mine.

It is similar to

The shop that did the paint and body work did the liner as well. It came in a kit and it was running out pretty close to the end. It has held up well for over a year. It would be interesting to see how it would hold up in a work truck. It was a lot cheaper than having line X done which was my first choice. I have wet okole seat covers and the liner. I don't care if I get caught in the rain. I keep a bikini top in the glove box.

Thanks, it is fun to drive. Gets a few compliments at the local cruise ins but most people don't even know what it is. Half think its a scout? Maybe they can't read the tailgate. Tilt column is next. I have it ready to install.

Thats one clean Jimmy! Are those neoprene seat covers? Iv always thought that would be the material for slip on covers. Not as hot as vinyl and waterproof.

Yes, Wet Okole. Fit pretty good. Not cheap for covers though.

I called them and they had a patern for our seats. It took 2-4 weeks to get them. They do have some universal covers but I can not tell you how well they fit. They were expensive $498 on 5/13/2008. I am happy with them so far.

For those that it matters they are (when I bought anyway) Made in USA.

As I said earlier the liner is not Linex. I doidn't notice any heat or noise difference. I have all new body mounts and the truck is pretty tight. I do have one noise that bugs me. When I hit bumps the tailgate bangs/rattles on the passenger side trunion. I plan to add a bushing to eliminate that.

I did the liner more to protect the floor/interior from rust. I have applied POR 15 to the inside of the torque/rocker boxes and anywhere I could get to. All the weep holes for the floor/rocker are intact so it should out last me.

Everything about it looks great! The color is cool. The wheels and tires are sweet and the interior is awesome. I've been planning on the Wet Okole seat covers for the Silverado/Tahoe seats in mine, nice choice.

Congrats on the killer ride.

Very tasteful, clean and functional job on your Jimmy! The prices on those seat covers seem cheaper than buying stock style aftermarket ones I've seen.
