head gasket

Using FelPro head gasket on a 350 Chevy. Stupid question but does the writing on the gasket go up or down. One side is kind of plain and the other side has letters and lines on it. I put it on so that the writing and lines were up, was I correct? Also are the left and right gaskets interchangeable? Thanks

Re: head gasket

Not sure myself. Hoping someone will know for sure. Looked to be the best way to put it, may have to change it.

Re: head gasket

Yo! Same here, times two.
35,000+ miles on my Camaros' 350, and FRANKENTRUCKs' 350 is also doing fine. I went with print up and carefully checked passageways to ensure that all of them were continuous throught the gasket. I compared the two gaskets and they were identical, so no left or right.
Have fun!
Todd.

Thanks guys. With a little a few beers and a little luck I'm hoping the install works. Thanks again.
