4" lift on 71 Blazer

yeah about an hour my buddy tells me.. WHATEVER.

Ok, now, it appears the rear drive shaft needs lengthened. Any body know how much? What about the front drive shaft?

The other indistructable question, HOW MAY I GET THIS *&*&%$^&**&%$ steering arm off?

What about brake lines? The kit had what they called brake line relocators. Unless I am totally missing something, its gonna require bending a brake tube. I would rather just replace the brake lines with longer ones? anyone know where I might find these? What about the e brake cables that hook to the brake flange? maybe longer ones of these too?

napa should have longer brake lines, the drivelines really depends on the shop I would guess 80-100 bucks but i maybe way off.

The steering arm beat it with a big hammer until you get some room to drive a pry-bar under it the hammer and pry. e brake cables i don't know anything about it.

80-100 for both drivelivnes, but you may need a cv in the front.

Well I just got my steering arm off today. I ended up cutting some of the metal away from around those damn cone things on the arm itself not any thing else, then beat on it with a small sledge until it moved enough to twist the cones off. I think im going to get my extended brake hoses off here http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/W_brakes_GM.htm . And im probbly gunna make those E brake brackets on the frame longer. Hopefully im some help.

When you make the brackets, do wouldn't have to move any thing but it down, you could torch it and weld 2 plate ons each side 6x2 and get about a 3.5-4 drop on it. Should work.

Sounds like a lot of problems with a 4". Normally you can remove the brake lines from the stock position and place then under the frame witch most kits supply. The drive shafts should be center of the travel. Never messed with ebrake cables.

I have a 6"skyjacker lift on my blazer, which actually uses an 8"rear spring. I just routed my e-brake cables under the springs, and they fit fine. As far as brake lines, I went with some longer braided lines from Speedway Motors. I had a new rear driveshaft made with a 1330 series cv joint, and a 1350 series joint on the other end. I'm still running my original front shaft and it fits fine.

I didn't need to lenthen my shafts with a 4" lift.

not sure of why the problems, but the steering arm, 9 hours of bang bang soak, bang bang soak. ITS OFF. Lengthened the shaft 2 inches, front appears to be fine for length, but the slip yoke is done, so I need to have a new one built anyways. gonna re ball joint it since its this far apart.
