Question Turbo 400?

How many quarts of trans fluid does a turbo 400 take with out draining the torque converter? Thank you

Question

it depends if if has deep truck pan, a shallow car pan,if thers a cooler plus rad.if your looking just to change the filter..buy 6 qts you should be ok???

My 400 took 15 quarts....but that included torque converter, deep pan and cooler....

I'd say add 5 quarts, see if you have a reading, then add 1/2 quart at a time untill you can see it on the dipstick (engine running....)

Remeber that the "add" mark is 1 PINT low, not a quart.......
