Signing on from NC/VA Beach!

Hello, My name is Ryan I am a Crew Chief on MH-60 Jayhawks in the USCG currently stationed in Elizabeth City, NC. For those who have no idea what that is. I do helicopter rescue for the unfortunate souls who the good Lord deemed necessary for a reality check of life(see attached link for one of my rescues) the video sucks but it gives you an idea of the sea state they were caught in. Originally from a little farm in a small town, Stokesdale, NC. I am a newbie to the site and already I have read some valuable info, before starting my own build. I purchased a 70' LB about two years ago from the second owner. It had a crate 350 with less than 500 miles and his wife said you have too many toys, so his loss was my gain. I feel I scored a rather sweet deal. The truck, two new bumpers, left and right front corner panels still in the box for $1500. My jaw actually hit the floor. The truck is straight with little rust, bed floor, rocker panels, wheel wells all your typical areas. Currently, I am bulding a 383 stroker for my powerplant and plan on a complete resto of the front end, drop spindles, new uppers and lowers, disc conv. ya'll have heard it before. Plenty more just way to much to list and of course doing it all on a military budget. So, grab yourself a snickers!!! Pleasure to be here and hope to share some great stories and photos with people who share the same interest.

Re: Signing on from NC/VA Beach!

to the board from Mid-MO!!!

You'll find this place to become your second home. There's tons of information, friends, parts, .... and so much more.

One thing you will learn is that we love pics, so we can't wait to see what you're working on. Your project sounds quite interesting especially since it was only a two owner truck, and loaded with parts. When you get far enough, be sure to start a build thread to document your progress.

Thank you for your service!

That was an interesting, first hand video, of one of your rescues. Those individuals were lucky you and your crew were there to help.
