Finally! Got her home! Now the work begins

Well, the folks are retiring. No more shelter for my '70 C/10. So my fiance and I drove out to good ol' Wyo' to get her...1200 miles. I had to basically collect the rest of my crap too. Oh well, we looked like gypsys going down the road I'm sure of it! Now, the Titan is done, here come the C/10:

Late model Chevy seat
3 point seat belts
700R4 tranny good for 500+HP so I stop humming at 3500 at 70
New carpet
Bed wood work
New Springs...or at this point 4WD conversion...to be debated...

Disk brakes...with 4wd conversion or 2wd kit...to be debated...the little woman at home is tough

406 CI Small Block with aluminum head pushing 400+HP...
Stock new paint
New windsheild
The list is so long...

Re: Finally! Got her home! Now the work begins

keep it a stock height 2wd....might want to consider 3/4 ton coils out back for hauling the camper. the 2wd suspension on these trucks is so awesome. 4x4 is solid axle and leaf like many other years......nothing special. my dad put a 406sbc in his 84 burb 2wd (3.73 rear 700r4) and now that engine is going in my 72 burb 3/4 ton. with rear wheel drive, its like driving an oversized camaro with that engine. burn out all day long and tons of pulling power.
