Need width measurement 50-51 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Could one of you fine folks give me a front fender dimension off a 50-51? I need the over all width of the front cap from outside to outside of front fenders.

I think its 72 5/8"

I have a 53 I could measure for you. But, since the fenders aren't "square" at any point, where do you want the measurements taken?

The measurements taken from the center tops the wheel wells would be what I need. I’m stretching the fenders for a buddy’s rat rod project to the width of a 67-72 frame. He’s out of the country and I don’t have all the pieces to figure at the original measurement.

Oh, sorry I guess I can't help with that one. Mine still has the inner fenders and engine in it.
