Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this

Hey ALLEN123 I understand. You're tired of your old truck. So get a new truck. You have all the choices in the world as long as it's 1967-1972 Chevrolet C-10, GMC, Blazer, Surburban, etc. If you stray from these choices, you will be Sorrrryeee! And so will we.

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this

Well the guy sent me some more pictures of it and nevermind! smaller pictures make it look alot better.
I would fix my motor if i could get the money but other things seem to take it, such as gas, girlfriend, food, other stuff that keeps me from getting on the road (broken parts). Its kind of hard to fix my motor whenever my motor keeps breaking more parts (the vibration is that bad) and then my work truck is less reliable than my truck so it doesnt really help to drive it
I think if i could actually move on and get some different progress done I would be alot happier with it, I think I have done just about everything i can to it in a free or cheap way theres not much I can do to it

I tried to pull the grill back out at votech and it wouldnt move at all i think im probably gonna have to cut it or something.

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this

Well since your truck is wrecked Im sorry to say but no one is going to want it or if they do want it its going to be for a price that is very low. Your better off dumping the girlfriend for the money to fix it

Your truck looks nice. What you need to do is set a goal. Find a good used engine at a salvage yard, look on craigslist, etc. Then when you get the money, drop a new motor in it.

I have put a new motor in mine, and believe you me, I never dreamed of the headaches I have. But one thing is for certain, I have a new engine, and when it is right, I will be happy as a drunk in a tavern.

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this

I know you were already put off by the other pics he sent, but you will NEVER know what you're getting on an old vehicle, despite your best efforts and intently looking for known problems of that type of vehicle. Oh, and these trucks are so much better than a cheesy '79 Camaro. Now an up to '73 or so split bumper

Yippeee!! I knew we'd beat you over the head enough that you would wind up keeping it. Now go put some ice on your head from all the knots from the verbal bashing your head has taken. LOL! No, but seriously, you've made the right decision. Oh, and welcome back!!

Oh it already is and I do and it gets me in trouble all the time lol but thats the good thing about having my truck, usually the police are alot more nice when you drive a classic I cant remember how many tickets i've got out of and then they sit there and ask me about the motor or what im going to paint it.
And I know how you feel I had alot of problems with my truck my engine vibration has made me go through about 5 alternators, 3 bracket kits, 2 motor mounts and alot of other stuff, and I know I kinda sound like a hypocrite but just stick with it and just do what you can to it the cheap and easy ways and it will help your motivation alot, just giving it a rattle can paint job made me feel really good about it.

Arm51- yeah thats what I did lol and it made me just decide to rebuild the motor

Good thinking! And the right move too. And another good thing was not to log into Camaro owners forum for a piece of advise You will be better off with your truck anyway.
