Re: My Build Thread (year+) on 71 Jimmy 4x4

I like the doorbars, thought about doing that someday.

Good deal thanks guys

PO threw in those emblems as well as new floor pans, rockers, heater core etc the day I purchased.

Pretty sure they are all from LMC catalog

If you have an old set of doors, re-use the latches.

Great idea....just need to come across a used set of doors and steel the latches

Would also be cool to fab an easy way to use the skin of the door as temporary cover for the tubes, ie with cotter pin attachment. Say for those sudden rainfalls or cold nights...

That would be very cool. Even have like a half-skin on the lower part to keep anything from rolling out or escaping the cab....

Dzus buttons are the perfect thing to use for your door skin idea, they are used on sprint car bodies, and on their wheel covers.

The truck looks awesome, and the boggers give it a much meaner look.
I want one.

Thanks!, really appreciate the info on the Dzus buttons - i'm going to implement this idea as soon as i find some spare doors. Those will work alot better than cotter pins.
