Re: Crew cab to reg cab??

That is a lot of work to take something rare and turn it into something common.

Why do you want to do this? What is it for?

Re: Crew cab to reg cab??

if I could sell the frame it would be great but no here in the northeast seems interested in a crew cab 2wd chassis, so why not make it useful to me or someone else?? No worse than taking a long bed to short bed!!!!!!!!!

Re: Crew cab to reg cab??

List it on ebay and see if you get any buyers. There is a market for these trucks you just need to find the right buyer. Infact, the chances of selling a complete truck is exponentially higher than selling a cut and welded frame.

Agree x10. I'm not trying to insult you but I would NEVER buy a truck if I knew somebody had modified it like that.

Re: Crew cab to reg cab??

Much easier said then done, listed it on criagslist, ebay(gotta pay to list), uncle henrys, not sure where everyone thinks crew cabs are popular or making a come back, must be a southern/west coast thing I guess. Up here we use trucks as a truck (wheelin, haulin firewood, hauling the wheeler or sled), not as a show boat or as a boat anchor. Plus the days of a of a 454 an 9 mpg doesn't sound reasonable @ 3.00/gallon. This is America an everyone is entitled to there opinion, some like them some don't the same debate surrounds short vs long beds!!! You want it come get it $1750 an its yours!!!!

Hey I have a 454 and get about 7 mpg and i run it with premium. If I was worried about mpg i wouldnt have bought the truck.

Re: Crew cab to reg cab??

Must really be a southern thing. Hillbilly limo. A lot of people are taking these and putting on a short bed to mimic the new crew cab trucks that are so popular. Besides that, they tow really well and with seating for 6 it's a party on wheels.

Put that price on it here in South Texas and you would have it sold within a day or two.
