Red, Flame Red & Orange truck pic's
Im trying to decide what colour to paint my 72. Im leaning towards orange. Could yall post some pictures of your truck if they have an origional colour on them? Also if you know it, what PPG code it is. Thanks

Looks very orange in direct sunlight and looks very red when it's cloudy or getting dark. I've seen restored chevy trucks that are painted red or red & white, and it looks like flame red and not light red because those trucks look RED!

Even though it isn't a stock color, my truck is pearl orange and I get ton's of complements on it. Check out my build page at the bottom for pics!

Theres also light orange, my personal favorite, code 516 on the SPID IIRC.

torch red is a good red, It's the same as the SS Monte Carlos.

Nice 67! I like the Hugger too. they're close, eh. Hugger is a bit darker. Was hugger acctualy offerd on the trucks? Im looking at the PPG page here and it lists it...?

it was original starting in 69 or 70 i believe. in the sun it's really bright and kinda yellowish but in little light it's very orange
