Re: Cummins swap opinions needed
Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure that I will end up doing the swap. I don't think that I'm going to tear the k10 down to do it though. I have a rust free 67 cab and front clip sitting in my backyard so all I need to find is a bed. I have already swapped turbos and added a intercooler and 5in exhaust into a 6" mitre cut stack and tweaked the pump a little. I'm tossing the idea around about keeping the chassis a dually and graphing on a set of stepside fenders . What you'll think single wheel or dually? Thanks to all again.

Re: Cummins swap opinions needed
I've decided to do the single rear wheel as I had already bought new front hubs and rotors. Also I got my new shift tower in and got it put on this afternoon and I am very pleased to say that my tranny is as good as new. I also picked up a set of 16.5 alum. sawblade wheels today that are in great shape that I plan on putting a set of 35X12.50 BFG's on that I aready have. I'm going to try and get the cab and front clip on next weekend so I guess I should start a build thread and will post pics.

Re: Cummins swap opinions needed
Well that away you can put some wide tires on it without them being on some narrow wheels and dealing with spacers between the rears. And making fenders for it would have been a pain

Re: Cummins swap opinions needed
1985-GMC, thats what I was thinking I will have enough problems with all this without adding the fenders.
dammitmitchell, pics will be coming soon, I will be starting on it Sept. 9th.

Re: Cummins swap opinions needed
well I have had a change of heart, I really want to pull with this truck so after much debate I've decided to just leave it a dodge for now and pull with it for a while.
