Weird sounds coming from the front end
I have a bump coming from the driver side of the truck. I know it is front suspenstion related. Does it when I do right and left turns and it shakes on the driver side about 60 mph going down the road.
The truck is a 1986 chevy K-10 everything is stock. I am wondering if it is time for a rebuild for the front end is in order. The truck has almost 120,000 miles on it. I am looking for sugestions on what to look at. Thanks, Jamie

Re: Weird sounds coming from the front end
Have someone work the steering wheel back and forth while you are looking at everything that moves underneath. Good chance a total rebuild is in order, but you just might find a completely worn out part that can be replaced and make the truck safe again.

Re: Weird sounds coming from the front end
sounds like a ball joint, but Cant guarantee it since my auto telepathy is on the blink
sorry couldnt resist. jack up the wheel from under the axle and then grab the top and bottom of the tire and try to push the top while pulling on the botom and see if it is loose. if it is then you will need a helper to see if it is wheel bearing or ball joint. |

At 120K and never having been "serviced", I would say that you are in for a thorough inspection.
Ball-joints Wheel bearings Axle joints Inner axle bearings all associated seals.
