*CUCV Axle Questions*
I have a chance to grab up a matching set of CUCV Axles (Dana 60/14 Bolt).
I was under the impression that the axles would be a bolt in. Everything I read says the spring center to spring center should be 32" on the CUCV Dana 60 Axle. I have some measurements below. '66 Axle Measurements (I measured these) Front Closed Dana 44 = 31.5" spring center to spring center Rear 12 Bolt = 40" spring center to spring center CUCV Axle Measurements (I got these measurements from seller) Front Dana 60 = 34" spring center to center, 69" wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface Rear 14 Bolt = 40" spring center to center, 67" wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface

Re: *CUCV Axle Questions*
The front will bolt in, might have to change shock mounts, but the spring perch width is the same. IIRC right at 32".
The rear is 40.5", and if this is going in a 66, should bolt in as well. IIRC my 62 had the shock mounts on the lift blocks, so won't have to change anything there.

Re: *CUCV Axle Questions*
Quote:
The '66 has the shocks mounted on the front side of the rear axle and the blocks (cast iron) that look stock are 5 3/4" tall. The springs measure around 52" rear and 44" front for length. Front Changes The Dana 60 should give me 3/4" lift from taller spring pads and I plan the ORD 1" Zero Rate Add a Leaves. Rear Changes I will have a custom set of springs made up to give it a level lift without the 5 3/4" blocks in the rear now. I will also be moving the rear axle back 1" to help with wheel well spacing. This will be done with the spring or the 1" Zero Rate Add a Leaves. Here is a picture of how it sets now with the stock axles under it and 35" BFG MT's.
