It's been 3 horrible months of sanding but I finally got it. For my first time painting anything I went with black. The hood seems dull in the pics but they don't do it justice. wet sanding and buffing tomorrow. Some before and after pics. I'll post more after buffng and polishing

A little orange peel, but that will sand out

I thought I would feel better when it was painted after 3 months of sanding every/all weekend. But now I have to wet sand, buff, and polish the entire truck. Well, I don't have to sand the entire truck but i'm going to just because. It's all slowly coming together I guess.

When I saw the gray primer and read first time and black, I thought.... uh oh.

Super nice job!! Now was the three months worth it?

nice job! is that a single stage job? How did you set up your 'spray booth'?

It was clear coat/base coat. I just cocooned my garage with plastic draping, stapled some filter material over my back door and had a box fan for exhaust going by the garage door. worked real slick. especially with my undersized air compressor.
