Will a 2wd TH350 bolt to a NP205? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 27 spline short shaft TH350 that I am wanting to bolt to a NP205. I have heard that the tailshaft might be a little long for this? Can it be cut or do I need to look for a new trans.?

the 2wd output shafts are something like 4in too long. You have to replace the output shaft or get a new trans
