Front End Brake up grade?

In order to go to the bigger rotors on an 85 1/2 ton what do I need beside the rotors to change? Spindles? Calipers? Caliper Mtg Brkts? Brake lines? Ect? Any ideas as far where to find these parts used? Did these parts come on a suburban or other type of truck? Thanks!

Re: Front End Brake up grade?

You will have to have the rotors, calipers, and the HD spindle. If you are planning on lowering your truck, now is a good time to go ahead and get the HD spindle. Now realize the only difference is that the rotor is .25" thicker, not any larger diameter. It even uses the same brake pad, but the caliper "opens" larger to fit over the thicker rotor.

I just got done replacing all of the front brake stuff w/ the HD equipment when I lowered "Bob". The brakes are noticably better for sure.
