In need of some axles
Im looking for some axles for my 1967 k10....What type of axle should I be looking for, and where can I buy them?

Will these two axles line right up with the current leaf springs? How do I know what width to be looking for?

YEP ITS A DIRECT BOLT IN. TRY GOVERNMENT LIQUDATION AUCTION SITE. THATS THE BEST PLACE TO BUY THEM. ALSO IF YOU GET A WHOLE TRUCK YOU CAN SWAP EVERYTHING FROM 1 TON SPRINGS, WHEELS, TIRES,DRIVESHAFTS TH400 TURBO WITH NP208 T-CASE ETC

What are you planning on doing with it?
I got some 1/2ton axles out of a late 70s chevy with discs up front and open knuckles, If your not gonna be wheeling with it, then the 1ton stuff is a little overkill and a military truck will have 4.56 gears in it. If you are gonna run under a 35" tire that will be a little too much gear. I got 36" tires on my 67' and 3.73 gear ratio that works out nice for street use.

Im not gonna be doing any wheeling with it, Im just looking for some replacements as the current ones are pretty rusted. So any of the dana 60s will fit the front? IT seems that some of them must be wider, because the dana 60 on my f250 is way wider than would ever fit under the chevy.

What size tires are you gonna be running? any chevy truck 67-87 and up to 91 on the blazers and suburbans will bolt right in for the front axle, I believe in the 80s some of the front disc brake calipers use the 10mm brake hose banjo bolt.
The front axles are wider from the factory on purpose so that they track better, and aids in offroad/snow conditions, so that it can get a better bite. Also your steering box will need to be replaced with a newer steering box for the steering to work correctly, then you will have power steering as well if you dont already. You will need a chevy or gmc front end for it to fit correctly and dodges are a 1/4" wider so the springs need to be forced apart to work. Fords will have the front differential on the drivers side, chevys and dodges are passenger side. You would have to buy a 69-72 rear end for the perches to line up in the rear, or a 1 ton rear end out of the 73-91 chevy trucks to bolt right in. I have relocated the perches on a dozen or so axles and it is not difficult with a grinder, welder, and a little common sense. Also if you are 1/2 ton now, you will need to buy new wheels if you upgrade to 3/4 or 1 ton axles since they are 8 lug. If you need any more info i would be glad to help. It sounds like alot more work than it really is.

The gears are all but shot, the rust is substantial, enough that grinding it off would require removal of a substantial amount of metal to get them to look perfect. I would like co convert to disk brakes, and open knuckles as well. And I would also like to move to 4.56 gears.
