Re: 60-62 airride?

try some of imperial customs posts, or pm him, he has done 2 early trucks.
dropmember also sells a kit for the 60-62.

the cheap way i think is to use the entire crossmember out of a 67-87, and then airride that.

Re: 60-62 airride?

Buy dropped spindles for your truck and upgrade to disc. Pull out your torsion bars (press out, actually) and put plates on the control arms and upper frame section as if you were bagging any other truck.

Re: 60-62 airride?

You can convert a torsion front end to ride on bags. If you can measure, cut and weld its not hard. The drop members are $$$ now you can get drop spindles for 60-62 trucks but you havw to upgrade to later model disc brakes. I think the cheapest would be to fab the bag mounts in your front end and get drop spindles.

Re: 60-62 airride?

Plate the lower arms as PT stated, and you piece together a drop spindle/brake kit using 88 and up brake parts.

Re: 60-62 airride?

I don't believe that will work with the '60-'62 front suspension. Unless you know something I don't.
