Re: break light on dash
Check your fluid level. It may be low, which could be triggering the light.

Silence, same thing happened to me this week. Fluid was low in the master cylinder.

Re: break light on dash
Yeah, there's a sensor that "kicks" if the fluid level gets to low. It's right at the master cylinder.

Re: break light on dash
my sensor is at the prop. valve located behind the core support attaced to the cross member. just follow the lines from the master down and you will also see a electrical plug bolted to the frame.
i love these 2 pics.

Re: break light on dash
I feel like you used those pics to answer a question I had just last week or so.

Re: break light on dash
When mine came on the master cylinder was sucking air and failed shortly there after.
If your fluid level is low check for any leaks at the back of the master and in other areas with rubber hoses. |

Re: break light on dash
The light can come on for 2 reasons.
An imbalance of fliud pressure at the proportioning valve....which is usually from a leak. It can also come on because the E-brake pedal has been moved. I have seen this happen a lot. Someone kicks the pedal getting in/out....
