I am ready to powdercoat the frame and front end parts on my 68 LWB. Just wondering what everybody does with their Ball Joints, Pitman arm, spindles, etcc... Can these be powdercoated aswell ??? or do i have to coat them with paint and or p.o.r?

Re: pretty front end

The "solid" parts will be fine as long as you keep the powder off of the "machined surfaces" Spindles, center link, etc.

Things with "moving parts", ball-joints, tie-rods, idler arm, etc. may give you problems....especially those that need grease (and already have some in them).

You might contact a member called TxFirefighter . He does custom powder coating. I'm sure that he can advise you about what can be done. He may be willing to "baby-sit" some parts that a big shop wouldn't bother with?
