i dont know what brand you got, the only shaft that i found that would not bind up once i got it installed was the moog brand, moog in my opinion is simply the best. i tried cheaper versions and the arm would bind up so bad that it would actually back the bushing caps out of the arm. just my 2 cents. and oh yea the dimple was the same as the factory shaft to the moog shaft.
