Late model steering in my 60.

I've searched a little and haven't come up with much. But today I made a powersteering box adapter for my truck and I've read on one thread about installing one of Captinfabs ones with a stock column that you have to trim about an 1 3/4 off of it and then find a power steering rag joint end and slide it over your stock shaft and weld it on. Does anyone have any info on this or is what I said correct on how to do it? Thanks for the help guys. A little lost.
