Oil Additive after break-in

I'm sure this has been discussed before but what are you guys using as a additive after 500 miles on a new crate motor? Should I still be using EOS?

Flat tappet cam? I've been using either EOS or Comp Cams engine Breakin Oil Additive. Seems to work, cam's still good. Knock on wood.

Re: Oil Additive after break-in

i use EOS in my '67. i saw in JEGS that valvoline is offering a full synthetic with more zinc in it for the flat tappet cam. it has a rousch racing logo on the bottle. JEGS also offers a break-in lube that cost less than EOS, i have used it also...

the 20w-50 valvoline race oil has a high level of zinc but would that be a half way good oil year round?

I run ZDDP Plus in my 67 Camaro with 396 and flat tappets and no problems so far. However, the engine was built in 1995 when oil had more zinc in it.
