Water temp sensor?

What side does the temp sensor go originally on our year trucks 350eng? My 70 is on the passenger side (RH). Is this side correct? Thanks!

Re: Water temp sensor?

technicly, in 70... both.
The one for the guage/dummy light goes in the drivers side head.
The one on the passenger side goes to early smog control device which didn't help clean the air, and hurts MPG.
If you have a sensor in one, and just a pipe plug in the other, someone probably put the heads on the wrong side while putting them on and not paying attention.
