Any regrets after jeep springs?
Quick question. Any regrets? Most I might haul including snow is 700lbs and no plan for a hitch.
Reason I ask I'm going to cut the stock coil in the morning and don't have a backup plan right now . Thanks! Chad in MN truck details off the top of my head: 70 c10 lwb. Pretty basic 250 truck one coil cut up front. Thinking of taking another quarter out 225/75/15 rear 215/75/15 front Last edited by ChaStur; 09-26-2009 at 10:14 PM. |

Cutting the stock rear spring?
I assume one end, of the spring, won't be bolted anymore,... since the stock springs are "pigtailed" on the ends? I suggest drop springs, that are proven to work. Just my opinion.

Re: Any regrets after jeep springs?
Thanks for the reply and concern. I'm new here but enjoy knowing things are secure under my truck. Fronts are cut and rears were cut out because of the top nut covered in rust.
So far so good. Truck drives great now that it's leveled out. Just wish I used 6cyl springs instead of these 4cyl ones. I can't haul cardboard without sagging but the look was worth it. Last edited by ChaStur; 09-28-2009 at 10:01 AM. |

I have heard the rear springs from an EL CAMINO work well, they are 1/2 ton springs and are a direct bolt in, but i don't know how much of a drop you get with them
