Paint Code Question
I just bought this '72 C-20. The options sticker in the glove box only lists one color "Medium Olive". As you can see the truck has two-tone paint. If these models had factory two-tone paint wouldn't the sticker list both colors? Or maybe the second color was added later??
Kind of curious... Thanks for any feedback |

I might be wrong but...if your truck came from the factory with two colors it sould be shown on your SPID. I'll let others chime in.

Welcome! Nice lookin' truck you got there.
My guess would be that it was two toned afterwards, the upper molding doesn't quite look right to me. Also i think that the moldings would be listed on the option decal.

Actually both upper and lower moldings were factory. Maybe the paint was part of the "Special Promotion Package" ???

My 72 Cheyenne is red where yours is green. The SPID says "White/Med Red/White".

Welcome from Texas!!! That is a sweet truck you got there. I just love the two-tones. On the two-tone question, I don't think the white was there from the get go, I'm just saying that because on my SPID it reads White/Med. Blue/White. Like tncdrew said maybe the promotion package.

It all depends on who typed up the SPID that day. One of my trucks has Drk Blue/White/Drk Blue on the Spid (It is 2-tone) My other has White/Ochre on the Spid, and White/Ochre/White/Ochre on the build sheet (it was original 2 tone)

Interesting label, your code, 504 is for a solid colored truck. Here is one like yours that has the 2 tone code of 465. My guess is that somebody added the white down the middle?
