dual tank to single tank wiring

Continued work on cleaning up my frame last night and got to all the wiring that runs along the rear of the frame. Tail light wiring is no biggie, I understand it.
What has got me confused is the fuel tank wiring. I had dual tanks with in-tank fuel pumps. Those were yanked and the last fuel cell installed with minimal butchering. There are two connectors that seem to be for splitting up the pump and sending unit power wire for each tank. In all there are 6 wires, all go to a single connector that wasn't plugged into anything with my fuel cell.
It's near impossible to explain the setup. I tried taking pictures last night but didn't get anything to come out clear enough. Basically what I need is to know which of those wires is my sending unit power, and if I can get rid of everything else. If there's anyway to just scrap all of it and run a new wire, that would be fine too. Anyone familiar with the in-tank pump, dual tank wiring harness? I could probably figure it out had I seen how it was originally connected, but that's long gone.

Behind the tank valve selector in the truck's cab you should see the wires behind there. That's the wires you will need to splice into.

Seems like it might be easier to follow the wires behind the tank selector switch and splice into it behind the cab where they all meet into plugs. I'll see if me and the rocket surgeon Dave can figure that out tonight.

It should be a brown wire. there is double because it went to the tank selector. I am SURE Brandon can straighten you out though, he is the King of dual tanks.

I have seen a brown wire! If I hook up my battery, turn the ignition on, should power go to the wire of the selected tank (or lines in this case)?

See if this is what the back of the wire harnes looks like in the cab

From the 3 o'clock position this is #1 wire then so on till #5 for reference.
#1- Ignition wire (pink w/ black stripe)
#2- Valve wire (lt. green)
#3- Tank Aux. (lt. blue)
#4- Gauge (tan)
#5- Tank Main (tan w/ white)
#6- Not used
With the ignition on you should get power with the #1 slot. If not check the pink w/black wire by following it to the fuse panel. Mine was connected with a male spade connector to a IGN slot. This way it's only powered when ignition is on (neing not running). Also you should have a light when testing for the #4 gauge as well (assuming it the #1 is hot
