ASAP mechanical fuel pump inlet

I have fuel to my fuel pump but the engine is not getting fuel. I am wondering if the inlet and outlet of the fuel pump lines were switched.

Can anyone tell me which nipple the fuel inlet line comes in on?

looking at it from the top down or from the bottom.... PLEASE!!! trying to work during daylight hours...a

With the pump mounted on the motor the one closest to the block goes to carb the othe goes to the fuel supply line..

I have a 3 line pump on the truck. Im guessing it is a return line for some reason on the third one. Can I run a 2 line fuel pump instead?

The return nipple should be a smaller diameter if I remember correctly.

Re: ASAP mechanical fuel pump inlet

5/16 barb is the inlet for the pump
1/4 barb is the return line to the tank.

5/16 i/f is the outlet to the carb.

Re: ASAP mechanical fuel pump inlet

if its an inline or 2 bbl small block it'll be 5/16ths, a v6, 4 bbl small block or any big block will be 3/8ths
