Bed ? for you guys
With all the cash for klunkers that were turned in around here, there is a glut of mid to late 80's truck beds around here. Since my bed on my 72 swb is in need of repair, what bed looks good or will they even fit on my truck? Anyone done this? Pics please. Thanks in advance

The original bed looks the best to me. Everything lines up and the wheel openings match.

First welcome to the board. You will find that there is plenty of knowledge here.
As for the bed, is your SWB a step side? The bed conversion seems to blend better when it is a step side. The fleetside does not line up well at all and I have yet to see one that looks good to me.

Re: Bed ? for you guys
There have been some pictures on here of newer step-side beds on our year trucks that did not look bad, but most I guess do not like the looks.
The newer beds serve a purpose if you have one available and need it. The trucks with newer beds look better if they are lowered quite a bit. Unfortunately I don't have any of those pictures saved. Here is a not so good looking example I own. I since have found a '68 bed to use when I restore the '67. Danny

Re: Bed ? for you guys
I really hate the idea of putting modern body parts on one of our beloved, classic trucks, but I have to admit that for some reason Lotick's red truck looks great.
