Re: Emissions fail - any advice
I have smogged several cars and trucks here in norcal. I simply put 8oz of Lucas Oil fuel injector cleaner with a tank of 87 octane gas and all of mine pass easily. My 79 454 no problem, my 78 Toyota Corolla read zero on emissions and the smog guy told me not to use that car locked in the garage to commit suicide!

Re: Emissions fail - any advice
Drove into the testing facility today and failed AGAIN for idle ~8 limit was 5! ARGH!
There was no line so I pulled out and adjusted in the parking lot. I dialed the IFM screws and idle setting down to stumble. Drove back around and onto the dyno. The idle was so low just dropping onto the wheels stalled it out. Retest and PASS! Thanks for all the advise on this forum! |
