ive just bought me a 55 truck with 9r20's. i was wondering can i upgrade to 11r22.5's here are the pics of the rims.or more afforadbale 19.5's

Cool ole Binder. Some nice Alcoa 22.5's would look great on that, but I'm afraid they won't work.

One issue with going to a taller tires on the old IH trucks is the truning radius increases and the amount of effort required to steer also increases. I would leave the 9r20's on the front and go 11R20's on the back

how about if i wnet eith 19.5 rims and tires? would that clear the drums and reduce effort to turn and steer?

tecky, I moved this for you to Alternate Tinkerings. There's a few guys on the board who fool with IH's and I think you'll get better exposure here.
